How to get Ikran mount
The first mount you will unlock is Ikran. This large flying bird will surely be familiar to you if you are a fan of the movie Avatar. By progressing through the main story (up to the “Take Flight” mission), you will unlock your own Ikran. You will need to undergo a trial to prove your worth to Ikran, allowing you to bond with it.
Once you're attached to Ikran, you can name it and design its appearance. The game even has different types of Ikran gear that you can find throughout Pandora. Hold the “H” key to summon your Ikran, then fly into the sky.
Your Ikran has an energy meter that will start decreasing when you press the Space bar to fly faster. So, make sure to feed your Ikran when their energy gauge gets too low.

How to get the Direhorse mount
In contrast to Ikran, Direhorse is a ground mount that you can also unlock by doing the main quest. Once in the Upper Plains, you will learn how to tame the Direhorse in the quest “The Wandering Clan”.
Although Ikran will always be with you, the connection with Direhorse is different. It is only available temporarily and you will need to find a new Direhorse and appease it every time you want to ride it to explore.
You can keep your Direhorse with you for a while, but they won't be with you forever. However, you can find plenty of Direhorse throughout the Upper Plains. Use Na'vi Vision and Hunter's Guide to track the Direhorse if you need to.
