How to set Telegram lock password on phone
Lock Telegram on iOS
Let’s start with the steps to set up a Telegram password on mobile first, and make sure you’re using the latest version of the app on your iPhone or Android.
Step 1: Open the Telegram app and go to the tab Settings in the lower right corner.
Step 2: Click Privacy and Security and choose Passcode and Face ID.
Step 3: Click Turn Passcode On and add password contains 6 digits. Enter Password Again again to confirm.
People can also click Passcode Option and select a 4-digit passcode or an alphanumeric passcode.
After adding a password to lock Telegram, users can choose to enable or disable Face ID by tapping the toggle button at Unlock with Face ID. This will make the account accessible only after entering the passcode.
Telegram also offers an option to automatically lock the app. Therefore, the user can click Auto-Lock and choose to automatically lock your Telegram chats after a certain amount of time, from 1 minute to 5 hours.
Once done, return to your chat and tap lock icon at the top to lock the Telegram chat.
Lock Telegram on Android
Step 1: Open the Telegram app, tap the three dashes icon in the upper left corner and select Settings.
Step 2: Click Passcode and Securitythen select Passcode Lock.
Step 3: Click Enable Passcode and enter password. People can also click three dots in the upper right corner and select Switch to Password.
Step 4: Re-enter the passcode or password To confirm. Once added, people can enable the auto-lock option by selecting a duration. Additionally, Telegram also allows it Turn off Show Content Option to display content for task switcher.
Once done, return to the chat and tap lock icon at the top to lock your Telegram chat.
