The Marvel Rivals characters confirmed so far are:
Namor
Namor’s deadly trident allows him to use water to force enemies into vulnerable positions, ready for allies to take advantage of the situation with their damage and abilities.
Loki
Loki seems to be able to use deception and trickery to his advantage, transforming into his opponents to mimic their abilities – after all, he is the Norse god of mischief.
Magik
Magik’s sword appears to be a formidable foe, and she can transform into a stronger form to increase her damage output. A powerful sorceress, Illyana Rasputin can use magic to disrupt her opponents.
Groot
Groot’s long, twisted roots appear to be able to stun and hold enemies in place. In the MCU, he can sacrifice himself to save his friends before being reborn, so it will be interesting to see how Marvel Rivals will implement that mechanic.
Rocket Raccoon
Rocket Raccoon’s fire weapon will cause explosions and burn opposing teams, regardless of their shape and size. Who knows what other gadgets he has up his sleeve. Can’t wait to find out for yourself!
Luna Snow
Luna Snow can use her ice magic to freeze enemies and slide on ice to avoid difficult situations. She can also use sound to her advantage, although her exact mechanics are unconfirmed.
Black Panther
Black Panther, also known as T’Challa, brings agility to the battlefield, able to use his power suit to quickly scour places and take care of threats. He attacks with his claws, which means this character is well suited for close combat.
Iron Man
Iron Man can use his thrust to reach vantage points that most others on the list cannot, giving him an offensive advantage. However, it remains to be seen what benefits Iron Man’s suit will bring in combat, but we can still expect great agility and strong damage.
Hulk
Hulk serves as a D.Va-like hybrid character in Marvel Rivals, able to return to his Bruce Banner form or lunge out to destroy enemies with his giant, powerful fists.
Spider-Man
Spider-Man is one of the familiar superheroes in Marvel Rivals. His notorious agility will enable him to maneuver around the battlefield and get into the most advantageous positions quickly and efficiently. Spider-Man’s web can also be used to limit his opponent’s movements.
Doctor Strange
Doctor Strange can use his spells and cloak to move through the air. This former neurosurgeon is proficient in mystical spells and can use them to his advantage in combat.
Magneto
Magneto, as the leader of the Mutant Brotherhood, would use magnetism to his advantage on the battlefield. Many hope that he can summon and launch giant metal sculptures from the environment to disorient enemies and cause massive damage.
Mantis
Mantis will join Marvel Rivals as another supporting superhero from the Guardians of the Galaxy universe. She will use the power of emotions to both deal damage and protect her teammates, combined with the deadly martial arts she is proficient in.
Peni Parker
Peni Parker joins the roster from Spider Verse. Originally designed by My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way, she has a psychic-powered metal suit called SP//dr to charge at and attack enemies, as well as allowing her to resist great damage.
