Characters are mainly unlocked through summoning. Although there are other methods like leveling up, doing quests or even just playing events. Each character can have up to 7 stars, which are unlocked by receiving Z-Power. When summoning and pulling a HE character, it gives the player 100 Z-Power, EX gives 250 Z-Power, and SP gives 600 Z-Power.

Each star makes the character more powerful, with 0 being the lowest and 7 being the highest. When upgrading to a higher star level, the Z-Powers will return to 0 and the cost of powering up the character will be higher than the previous level. Sometimes gamers can get free Z-Power from special events or quests, so make sure to complete them all.
