Alone in the Dark: How to unlock the secret cutscene
Alone in the Dark isn’t a complete game without completing both playthroughs as Detective Carnby and Emily Hartwood. Furthermore, there are certain collectibles (also called Lagniappe) that you cannot get by only playing once. To unlock the secret cutscene in the attic, you must complete The Hartwood Curse collection of 3 Lagniappe: Discarded Palette, Witness the Black Pharaoh and Alone in the Dark. You can find all the items in this collection after playing a second time.
How to watch secret cutscene in Alone in the Dark
Once you’ve acquired all of Lagniappe in The Hartwood Curse collection, all that’s left to do is wait for the right moment. That moment is in Chapter 4 when you complete the intelligence puzzle in Infirmary. After quickly leaving the Infirmary, you will automatically be led to the attic.
To see the secret cutscene in Alone in the Dark, interact with the noose hanging on the right side of the attic. If you have all the collectibles in The Hartwood Curse, a reminder button will appear in front of the lasso. Then you can sit down for a few minutes, watch the cutscene, and earn yourself a new achievement.
