The life forms that develop in The Planet Crafter start from plant life such as flowers and trees. However, over time, players will have the opportunity to approach insects and then fish. These fish start in the aquarium, but they will eventually swim around the lakes and oceans on the main map.
Like butterflies, players can discover and create more than a dozen species of fish over the course of The Planet Crafter. Some fish require breeding in an incubator, or can be found in the wild or obtained through some very specific methods.
How to collect all fish species in The Planet Crafter
If players want to start farming each fish species in The Planet Crafter, players will need to use a few methods.
How to collect Fish Eggs in The Planet Crafter
Incubator
Just like insect larvae (and later frog eggs), the player can use the incubator to turn the raw materials the planet provides into fish eggs. To make them, gamers will need Phytoplankton A, B or C, Mutagen T2 or T3 and Fertilizer T1. People must also have access to the species blueprint for this method to work. See below for recipes for fish eggs and when they unlock.
Water Life Collector
Fish eggs sometimes spawn in the Water Life Collector. Which eggs appear depends on where the player places the collector: some eggs only appear in certain bodies of water, and some lakes and streams will only give you phytoplankton.
Space Trading
A fish available through Space Trader Rocket and nowhere else. The eggs cost a few more Terra Tokens, but this species has a multiplier similar to that of goldfish.
Every fish in The Planet Crafter
If a species is “hidden”, it will never appear in the Incubator recipe list. However, gamers can use the Incubator to create hidden fish as soon as they have all the necessary ingredients.
Players can obtain fish eggs from biomes not listed below. However, fish eggs of the listed species definitely appear in the biome in the Where collected column.
